
Violet K. Norton, 96, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Cedar Haven, Lebanon, PA. She was the wife of the late Bernard “Frizz” L. Norton. She was born in Lebanon, PA on August 8, 1916, a daughter of the late Mary Brubaker. She was employed at the former Gollam’s and Gold Seal ice cream parlors and later at the Lebanon Box Factory. Violet was an active member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church in (Pleasant Hill) Lebanon for over 50 years, serving on the church council. She was also a member of the Neversink Fire Company and the Eagles. She enjoyed Violet K. Norton, 96, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Cedar Haven, Lebanon, PA. She was the playing bingo, knitting and volunteered at Cedar Haven for many years. She is survived by children, Bernard C. Norton husband of the late Nancy Norton of Fredericksburg, PA; Joanne Lehman wife of the late Gene Lehman of Mountaintop, PA; Brenda wife of Edward Whaymann of Lebanon, PA; grandchildren, Jean wife of George Boltz; Gene husband of Diane Lehman; Brad husband of Jaime Lehman; Bruce husband of Pam Lehman; Lori wife of Kevin Ross and Edward Whaymann, Jr. husband of Ulli Whaymann; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Judith and John Norton and an infant granddaughter. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the St. John’s United Methodist Church, 1709 Center St., Lebanon, PA 17042 with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Interment will be made in the Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to her church or the charity of your choice
