I will always remember the MacKay Braves and the countless ball tournements I went to as a kid, just to what the catcher.  I admired your committment to sport.  You were my role model and a good friend to my dad Paul.  Your sprit will live on!

Very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. We have nothing but fond memories of him. Our family sends sincere condolences Eva and family.

I have many memories of my Uncle Fred but the ones that I remember the most are him stopping at my house when I was a child driving that huge cattle truck of his and always bringing me rolo chocolates, coming over on Saturdays to watch Hockey Night in Canada with my Dad and of course baseball, baseball, baseball which is something I will never miss but I sure will miss him and his smile and telling him you get a crik in your neck and you pronounce creek ....creeeeeeeek not crik.  My sympathies to Auntie Eva and family.

I can't think of a more hard-working, community-minded individual than Fred.  He touched the lives of so many in such a positive way. What immediately comes to mind for me is the enormous amount of time he gave in mentoring the youth of MacKay and area in the sport of baseball.  His legacy in that area will never be forgotten by any of my generation who were lucky enough to have been influenced by him.  Just the mention of his name  at any gathering always brings a quick smile and recollection of many "Fred DZURIS" stories.  A truly "great" man who will be missed by so many.  Our thoughts are with you Eva and girls.

Sandra and I want to express our our condolences to Auntie Eva and the whole family. We always loved hearing his funny stories when we visited.

It is with profound sadness to learn of Fred's passing & I offer my deepest sympathy & condolences to you Eva & your family.

My uncle Fred was a very gentle, kind caring gentleman. He always seemed happy for every visit. I remember always wanting to sit on his knee when he visited, when I was a little girl! Love and miss you much uncle. Eileen, Ted and family.
