It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Fred Rasch at the age of 61. Fred passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Grey Nuns Hospital after a courageous struggle with the complications of Crohn’s Disease.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean and son, Stephen. He also leaves to mourn his mother, Ellienora, sister Jane (Jeff), nieces, and nephews, numerous other family members and friends. Fred was pre-deceased by his father, Albert.
Visitation to take place at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel, 4802 – 47 Avenue, Leduc, on Wednesday, June 1 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2nd at 2:00 pm at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Thorsby with interment to follow at Morrowdale Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the many kindnesses and sympathies extended during this time with special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion.
