Irene Lovette Demskie

May 11, 1957December 28, 2019

Irene Demskie passed away near her home in Mulhurst Bay on Saturday December 28, 2019 at age 62.

Irene was born in Vegreville Ab. on May 11, 1957. Partner, mother, sister, grandmother and dear friend tragically taken away far too soon. She loved life and enjoyed get togethers with friends and family. “The more the merrier” was the way she felt. Irene and her late husband Bob Gaber were always ready to call into work if the weather was nice to go lay on the beach or head out on the boat. Irene had a deep love for animals. She enjoyed anything outdoors whether that be quading, boating, fishing, working on her garden or tending to her flowers. She was fortunate in her last years to have found love once again with Don Shannon. They enjoyed many adventures together. Irene lived the last few years of her life to the fullest and was doing anything and everything she loved and wanted to do. She spent the last day of her life doing what she loved, fishing with Don and spending the day on the lake. There are no words to express the deep sadness felt by all that knew her. Irene will be greatly missed and cherished forever.

Survived by her loving partner Don Shannon, Children: Chris Demskie, Tessa Demskie (Rob Pashulka) Bryce (Duangduean) Demskie, Kassie Demskie (Demian Leclair); Step father Doug Rahnell; Siblings: Olee (Lillian) Wowk, George (Heather) Wowk, Olivia Nykolyshyn, Marsha Jones (Peter Hearn); Grandchildren Molly, Sydney, Vayen, Pilot, Kyler, Eilyn, Kitra, Zayboe, Faro and Rooney; Dog companions: Daisy and Koda.

Predeceased by her husband Bob Gaber, mother Maria Rahnell, father Stephan Wowk, and sister Rita Gitzel, and all her loved animal companions including, Behr, Bishop, and Chloe.

Donation in Irene’s memory may be made to Stars.

Don and family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Irene's passing. Although I never had the pleasure to meet Irene, I had heard you had met a wonderful lady and were happy and in love.
My deepest sympathy. You are in my thoughts...

Irene was our neighbor at the lake in Whitesands Mb. She was an awesome friend. One afternoon she stopped at the end of our driveway in her car left her door open and came walking up asking if I had seen her dogs...she had been looking all over for them..just at that moment her dogs came running down the road and jumped into her car.
I said have you checked out the back seat of your car?? Yes..that was a really good laugh. You will be so missed and you have always been in our hearts and thoughts.
