It is with great sadness that the family of John Olafson announce his passing on Oct. 21 at the age of 88. John will be greatly missed by his two sons, Gerald Olafson, David (Fran) Olafson, his daughter Heather (Lorie) Loshack and two grandsons Kris and Michael. John’s memory will be cherished by his brother Joe (Annie) his in-laws Vi, Doris and Ed, and his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Ida, his granddaughter Nicole, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
His family would like to thank Karen and the staff at Allen Gray for their care and compassion.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Leduc at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday Oct 29, 2016. Those who wish to make donations may do so to the Black Gold Health Foundation or the charity of their choice.
