Karen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, Darryl; children: Chad (Ashley), Shea (Scott) and Brody (Alex); grandchildren: Ari, Georgia, Nova and Tennessee; father, Marc (Rose); brother, Kevin (Deb); sisters, Brenda and Michelle; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving mother: Mona Plaisant.
Karen was born in St. Albert, Alberta and attended all her school years there. She moved from her family home on Salisbury Ave to Edmonton, Alberta. She also moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta where she spent a few years before returning back to Edmonton where she married her loving husband Darryl and together raised their family. Karen completed Secretarial School and with her strong organizational skills she had a wonderful career focused around Bookkeeping. She worked for Vanderburgt & Associates for 20 years and in that time she supported many different companies and developed life long friendships. Karen had a deep love for camping, gardening, singing, dancing, walking with her dog Quinn and we cannot forget the hours spent bird watching. Her most fufilling hobby would be the time spent with her Grandbabies. Her whole world revolved around them and she often said being a Grandma was the best thing to of happened to her. Her family is forever grateful to the people around them who have showed immence support over the past year. Karen touched many lives and will live on through a lifetime of memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
