He is survived by his children Allan (Isabelle), Ken, Eugene (Darlene) & Carol Logan; grandchildren Michelle (Mark), Erin (Mike), Charles, Adam, Janet (Shaun), Daniel & Karen; great grandchildren Lauren, Jack & William; and brother Harold.
Mike was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Steffie (2014), son Stanley, son-in-law Michael, parents Andrew & Tina, brother Tofen and sisters Stella Woitas & Helen Batt.
Mike lived in the Calmar area for over 90 years, where he actively farmed until age 90. He was an active community member, serving on his Church Board and numerous community & utility boards. He loved to visit and spend dinners with his family, and enjoyed reading & watching all sports and discussing history & earlier times.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Salem Manor Nursing Home for their care & compassion in Mike’s 4 years of residence.
In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Mike may be made to St Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, Nisku; or to Leduc Community Health Foundation, 4210-48 St, Leduc AB T9E 5Z3.
