He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol; sons: Christopher (Ronnie) and Kevin (Chelsea); and his grandchildren: Colin, Ariel and William.

Born in Unity, Saskatchewan, Murray moved to Alberta with his mother a few years later. Murray’s favorite pass time was reading – especially history books. He was always given a hard time because he would start a history book, and by the time he was done, he had started five more. If he came across history that he didn’t know about, he would have to research that particular topic, before continuing with his original book. Carol always said he would have been a great history teacher.
He also had a great interest in politics and liked to have debates with some family members. He had a love for music, and in his teenage years, his dream was to be in a rock band. He loved all kinds of music, but the Beatles were his favorite.
Murray liked to travel. His two most memorable trips were to New York with his sons and a winter golf trip with family to Maui.
In 1988, Murray started at FedEx as a courier and continued working and enjoying his career as a senior courier for the next 33 years.
Murray loved spending time with his family. He was a great dad, wonderful grandpa, and a very loving and devoted husband. He will be greatly missed by his family, relatives and friends.
Our family would like to thank Kylie from Homecare and Doctor Guinand for the care they gave Murray. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Roozen Pilgrim’s Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion Murray received in the short time he was there.
In respect of Murray’s wishes, no services will be held.
