Randy wasn’t a man of many words. He was born in Edmonton and lived most of his life in Warburg, Alberta. If asked about his life, he would say he worked in the patch for 40 years, had two kids and four grandkids, and lived on the family farm outside Warburg. Those who knew him would add that no one worked harder, he thought the world of all those kids, and it was obvious he was happiest on the farm and in nature—hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, and hiking. Mention any of his lifelong shenanigans, and he would just chuckle. Diagnosed this spring with esophagus cancer, he said goodbye too soon.
Randy is survived by his daughter Cassandra (Eric) Carr; grandchildren Crystal, Randi, Jazzmyn, & Micha; son Brian Webber; and brother Jim (Holly) Webber. He was predeceased by his brother Brian (1969), father William “Bill” (1988), and mother Margaret (2023).
All are welcome to join the family for the burial at Warburg Union Cemetery at 11:00am on July 16, 2023, which will be followed by a community gathering at the Warburg Senior Center from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Donations may be made in Randy’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
