

Robert (known by friends as Bob) was born and raised in Edmonton. He spent the majority of his career working at Grimshaw Trucking. After he retired, Robert enjoyed spending time living and helping out on a friend’s farm near Thorsby. He loved playing golf and driving around the province, both in his car and on his motorcycle. He also had a love for animals, especially cats. Robert enjoyed spending time with close friends and relatives throughout his life. He had weekly dinners with his father and stepmother, Dora, until their passing. He then continued to visit with Dora’s children and their families. Robert also had regular visits with his sister Carol until his passing. He married Anne in 1977, and after their divorce, he continued to enjoy time with his niece Chantal and her family. Robert also maintained a 40-year-long friendship with Larry (Donna) and loved spending time on their family farm with their children.
Robert is survived by his siblings Leon (Beth), Carol (Don), Sharron (Fred), and Audrey (Cory), his stepsister Connie (Cliff), stepbrother Ed (Sharon), in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Vera MacKeage (née Pryke), his sisters Marlene (Arlie) and Mary (Russell), his stepmother Dora, his stepsister Winnie, and stepbrother Dave.
