I reported to Tom in the mid 80s.  He was one of the best managers I have had the pleasure to work for.  Sorry to hear of his passing.  He was truly an authentic gentlemen.

As a newly hired employee for Imperial, I worked for Mel in Estevan Sask.  I was a good mentor, straight shooter, with a 'firm handshake'!  Years later, at a meeting in Calgary, he walked through a crowd of managers to come say hello...that was Mel.

Just reading through the Imperial Oil obituaries and noticed Toms name. Sorry to hear the news. I worked for Tom in Sask. and then ran into him again just before he retired when he said Imperial asked him to do "one more job" Remove our local resident at Quirk Creek. Always found Tom very approachable. Always remembered!

I had the pleasure of working with Tom for many years in the Artic and East Coast and can say that Tom was one of the best to work with-a great team player and very much a "Can-Do" person-this is what makes SPECIAL MEMORIES for people that take pride in  seeing great things accomplished-many times under trying conditions. I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He "broke me in" as a brand new wet behind the ears engineer back in 1975 while working in the Beaufort Sea. Joy and I were also neighbours of Tom while living in Norman Wells. I will always remember him as one of the "larger then life" people I have worked with while at Imperial.

Dear Dianne, I worked with Tommy's dad Mickey for Imperial Oil back in the early days,and gave Tom a reference to start him on his career. I remember going for coffee with the guys from work at the coffee shop in Woodbend. Sorry to here of his passing. May he rest in peace.
