Ashley Shoop

Ashley Nicole Shoop, age 39, passed away on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Kendyll, who was the center of her world; her parents, Tim and Nena Shoop; her brother, Todd Shoop (Anna); her nephew, Noah Shoop; and her nieces, Ava and Preslee Shoop, whom she adored deeply. She is also survived by her grandparents, Charles and Dolly Shoop, along with a host of family members and friends. Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Peggy Whisenhunt. Ashley leaves behind a legacy of strength, determination, and a heart that touched many lives. She was a feisty and spirited woman whose personality could light up a room. She spoke her mind, stood up for what she believed in, and faced life’s challenges with courage and resilience. Ashley was deeply caring and compassionate. Her decision to become an organ donor reflects the generosity and selflessness with which she lived her life, and through that gift, she will continue to touch the lives of others. Ashley will be deeply missed. Her laughter, strength, and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family asks that she be remembered not for the way she left this world, but for the life she lived, the love she shared, and the memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home 1750 Ashville Road Leeds, Alabama 35094. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Low Gap Cemetery in Odenville, Alabama.
