Sims, Bettye “Betsy”, age 86, passed away April 22, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Sims. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hall (Ehon); sons, Phillip Sims (Chris) and Alan Sims (Kelly Marion); grandchildren, Kevin Sims, Kelly Franklin (Scott), Jennifer Izzo (Mike), Alexandra Hall, Nick Marion, Cola Marion, and Nykie Marion; and 2 great-grandchildren, Cooper and Charlotte Franklin. The family will receive friends Monday, April 29, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel. Funeral service will follow on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11AM. Burial will take place at Bold Springs Cemetery. She enjoyed many types of needle work, especially quilting, visiting with family, and a variety of crafts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Angelus in memory of Bettye Sims, Alexandra's Grandmother, 12413 Hudson Avenue Hudson, FL 34669 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. Remembering Betsy this morning, I'm thankful we found each other and were able to meet. We corresponded about our Billups family, and swapped information. She was such a sweet, caring person.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. I ask that God give comfort to Betsy's family.
