Mr. Whitten was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Whitten; parents, Tilmon and Earlene Whitten; sister, Ruth Johnson and brother, Thomas Whitten.
He is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Whitten (Diane), Terry Joe Whitten (Betty); sister, Catherine Kennedy (Basil); step grandson, John Gibson; his best friend, David Moore; host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at New Home Baptist Church in Fulton, MS.
