Carl Leon Gann was born June 18, 1932, to Robert Littleton and Ollie Gann in Leeds, Alabama. Mr. Gann joined his home with our Father, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on June 3, 2021, at the age of 88. While being of this world, he was blessed to be married to his first wife, Jean Hodges Gann (proceeded in death.) He and Jean had three daughters, Becky (Dennis), Kathy (Alan), Carla (Lyvoye/Eddie), 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Also, while being of this world, Mr. Gann was blessed with a second wife, Carla Brasher Gann and loving stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mr. Gann served as military police in the U.S. Army. Following the Army, he became employed at United Chair in Leeds, Alabama, where he had a successful career as a maintenance supervisor. He later retired after completing his duties to this company for over 40 years. Most of his life, he was an active member of Branchville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he once served as an elder. For all those who knew him, loved him. He was an incredibly unique person who had more character and joy than most could imagine. He loved to fish, camp, and spend time with his family. He had entirely too many strengths to mention them all, but a few were his ability to fix things and make people laugh. There was not anything he could not fix or a practical joke he could not tell or make. He was the type of person who would treat others the way he would want to be treated and always tried to find good in everyone. Our lives are better today because of him, as he was one of the blessings that God shared with us, and for that we are eternally grateful. He never failed to remind those around him to talk to God, and always give thanks for what we have. His life on earth was one of a kind and will be greatly missed, but we are at peace because we know we will see him again.

I never saw Carl that he didn’t have a sweet welcoming smile on his face and a hug for me. He was usually found in the midst of his precious family. It was a privilege to know Carl. Since his illness and several hospitalizations, I have not seen him due to caution for his health, but his memory and friendship , I will treasure until we meet again in Heaven. God bless you all.

I have memories of growing up knowing Carl. He was a friend to everyone. He never met a stranger. We are all Blessed to have known the Gann's. I can imagine the Reunion going on in Heaven between the older Branchville Cumberland Presbyterians.

I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Gann my whole life he always had a smile and kind word whenever you would see him. I spent a lot of my childhood in their home and several family vacations and know the love he had for everyone. He will truly be missed.
My love and prayers for Kathy, Becky, Carla and the rest of his family.

I can just imagine what a wonderful father he must have been! Nothing like a daughter’s love for their father and I am sure the three of you adored him. My heartfelt love and sympathy.

Prayers,

If you had the honor to have known Carl, you loved him. He spoke of the good Lord often & today he is in His presence. It was a joy to have spent time with him. I woke up with sadness knowing he isn't here on Earth, but then I thought of the enormous joy he is feeling at his eternal home.

Carl was like a father figure to me. We have lost another hero. Carl loved life , loved his family and people. Success is not having a million dollars in the bank , it's not having a million dollar home nor a fancy car. It is testifying to see your family Saved and Carl has seen that . Carl thanks for what you have done on this earth to touch many lives and we will see you again. Praise The LORD, Jesus Christ.
