Cecil J Oakes, age 77, of Vandiver, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Cecil is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Oakes; mother, Avelle Bailey; wife, Diane Oakes; brother, John R Oakes; sister, Juanita Isbell. Cecil is survived by his sons, Shannon Oakes and Jeremy Isbell (Elizabeth); grandchild, Jace Isbell; sister, Martha (Mop) Layed; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A Visitation will be held on Thursday February 20, 2025 from 12:00-2:00PM from the Vandiver Church of God Church with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.
