He is survived by his wife, June Ash; 3 daughters, Amy Ash, Lea Brunson (Ronnie), Ellen Buffington; son, Shannon Ash (Cindy); 5 grandchildren, Tracy Leigh Hood (Major John Kyle Hood), Kyle Brunson, Logan Buffington, Brady Ash, Shellie Files; 2 great grandchildren, John Kyle Hood III, Rayleigh Grace Hood; 1 sister, Ruth Lee.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, past Master of Odenville Masonic Lodge #705, and a member of the St Clair Gideons.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church at 2:00pm.
The family will hold a private graveside service.
