Cliff was one of my favorite players during my few years at Cathedral. He always played with such great effort. I think my favorite part of Cliff was he had such a great sense of humor! He was always good for a laugh! His Mom & Dad were always so supportive of me. They never complained about anything. Just the type of parents that a coach wanted all of his players to have. I remember we were playing a team from Pell City. We were winning big late and trying not to run the score up. We handed the ball to Cliff, who was not the biggest and definitely not the fastest. He seemingly broke 15 tackles and ran about 115 yards to score a touchdown! Got me in some trouble with the opposing coach, but it was a good laugh!

To many wonderful ones to write about but one of my favorites is how my boys loved their "Uncle" Cliff and would run to him and show him their "treaaures" of the day. Cliff would look at each stick and rock they presented him and look at every nook and cranny on them in amazement. "Uncle" Cliff was their favorite human and will be missed by all of us.
