Mr. Charles "Pat" Patrick Lane

Lane, Charles Patrick “Pat” age 55, of Leeds Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010. Pat was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who always could make you smile with his dry wit and sense of humor. Mr. Lane was born and raised in Leeds and graduated from Leeds High School in 1972 where he participated in the gymnastics and wrestling programs. He attended Auburn University and graduated from UAB where he studied psychology and economics. After his graduation, he worked as a general banker and then as an investment advisor. After graduating from Southern Mississippi University with a masters in Clinical Psychology, he returned to Birmingham and worked as a clinical psychologist with the Bradford Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Lane is preceded in death by his father - Mr. Charles A. Lane and his grandparents - Rev. and Mrs. Charles H. Lane and Dr. and Mrs. John E. Hurst.

He is survived by his mother - Mrs. Helen Hurst Lane; Sister - Rebecca Lane Huie and husband, Richard Huie. Nieces and Nephew - Jennifer Craddock (David); Charles Huie (Sara); Martha Emory (Brooks IV); great nephew - Jack Craddock.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Leeds First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Leeds First United Methodist Building Fund.
