Claude J. Franklin, III(Jerry) passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Mr. Franklin preceded in death by his parents, Claude J. Franklin, Jr. and Shirley A. Franklin and daugher, Jill Screws. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie Franklin; daughter, Mandy J. Cox (Garland); son-in-law, Robert "Fob" Screws; grandchildren, Micah Screws, Garland Hudson Cox, and Erin Screws; and sister, Linda Martinez (Leno). Services for Mr. Franklin will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home 1750 Ashville Road Leeds, Alabama 35094. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the St. Clair County High School Band.
