April 13, 1990 – October 25, 2025
If heaven has a front porch, you can bet Dave’s already claimed the best seat. Born with a wrench in one hand and a guitar pick in the other, Dave Harmon III was the kind of man who could fix your car, your bad mood, and be a genuine friend.
Dave was a mechanic by trade but a free spirit at heart. Whether he was doing what Dave wanted, chasing rare Pokémon or with Mia (his favorite little sidekick), or out-drinking everyone on his porch, he lived life with equal parts horsepower and heart.
He believed bonfires were therapy, that guitars sounded best slightly out of tune, and that a cold drink with friends counted as “self-care.” His porch was his throne, his laughter was his soundtrack, and his daughter Mia was—undeniably—his greatest masterpiece.
When he wasn’t turning wrenches or strumming strings, Dave was known for his ever-growing collection of knives and swords (because, as he’d say, “You never know when you are going to need them.”). He also dabbled in gaming and anime, and took his Pokémon Go adventures as serious. He even created a
Facebook and YouTube channel called Dammit Dave.
Dave had a rare gift for making people feel like family and a knack for finding humor in anything—especially himself. His friends will remember the laughter, the smell of Newport Reds and campfire smoke, and that familiar smirk that usually meant trouble—or a really good story.
He leaves behind a world that’s quieter without him, but brighter for having known him. And though his tools may hang silent now, the mark he left—on engines, hearts, and memories—will keep running strong.
So here’s to Dave Harmon III:
A porch philosopher, grease-stained saint, master of dad jokes, and proof that the best lives aren’t always the longest—they’re the loudest, the warmest, and the most unapologetically real.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Ralph Harmon, Jr., and grandparents, Thelma Jeanette Harmon and David Ralph Harmon.
David is survived by his daughter, Mia Tyler Harmon; mother, Glenda Nell Noell Bice; sisters, Katherine Harmon Poe (Ben), Colleen Darby (David) and Tiffany Ingram Whitehead; nieces and nephews, Alex Franklin Higginbotham (Nic), Jackson Whitehead, Natallie Doty, Nathan Poe, Ezra Whitehead, Asa Darby and Rylynn Poe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. Funeral services will begin on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 1:00PM with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
