David McElroy

His faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ, along with the love of his family, sustained him thorough this now ended battle. He is indeed seated in Heaven.

Preceded in death by his parents, Battle Oscar and Daisy McElroy and two dearly loved nephews, Cordis 'Cricket' Watts and Jefferey Means, David is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Candace (Candy) and children Jennifer Brooke McElroy and David Dustin McElroy, his sister, Mrs. Janice Fleming, and several much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David worked 33 years for Triangle Fastener Corp and retired as General Sales Manager of Alabama.. During his tenure he established and opened several stores throughout the state. He earned the reputation of being a fierce competitor but always a friend.

David loved fishing and cars, especially fast cars. He was a wealth of knowledge in both. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner.

A graveside service only, conducted by Eric Garrison, will be held at Forest Crest Cemetery, Friday September 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directing and handling preparations. No services will be conducted at the funeral home.
