I was deeply saddened to hear about Jeffrey. I remember how all of us would play together at Granny Hughes house. Those were such sweet times and I will hold on to those memories forever. I know that Granny helped welcome Jeffrey to Heaven and they will greet all of us one day. You are all in my prayers and I love you so very, very much.

When I saw where our mutual friend, Jeri, had posted this news on her Face Book Profile Wall, about your son, Jeffery, my heart sank and I could not move. Valerie, it has been quite some time since we have seen each other, however, I want to express my love and extend my saddened hearts prayer toward you and your family. Time and distance does not matter. I care about you very much, always have and will continue to hold you dear in my heart. My heart hurts for and with you as you travel this journey in life. In my opinion, NO parent should ever be left behind to grieve a child/ young person for whom they gave birth to nor be asked or required to let go so soon as in this case...with Jeffery. I can promise that you will be in each mornings thoughts and prayer time and again throughout my day into evenings for a while to come. I ask our Father in Heaven to place comforting arms around you, peace for sleep as you need it, friends to talk with, cry and pray with in the coming days, hours, months and years ahead of you. In case no one has said that it's OK to be angry, I will, because it is.. God understands your pain. Just don't stay this way. Cherish the many days , months and years that you all had with your precious son, Jeffery and remember that he is still your son. Jeri can get in touch with me should you EVER need the two of us. Jeff came to our house with Mitchell, our son, several times over the holidays. We enjoyed visiting with him and remember his as a respectful young man who had a heart for God.  He spoke highly of his parents and their love and support for his life.  We talked several times about God's purpose for our lives and hope it brings you comfort to know that he is at peace.

My Dearest Valerie and family, I am so saddened by the loss of your Jeffrey.  I know he was loved by so many and he was so happy and really seeking after the Lord.  When I found out about Jeff, it broke my heart for all of you.  As I was talking to God yesterday, He assured me that he welcomed Jeff into Heaven, took him in His arms and told him, "I love you my son"...He heard the words I love you from His Heavenly Father and I know Jeff will be lighting up Heaven with his humor and love.  I am always here for you Valerie and I love you so much my sweet precious friend.

Jeffrey’s legacy will surely stand as a maker to us all as expressed in his personal relationship with the Lord. He has shown us the difficulties that this world can bring upon us and that overcoming them are also achievable.    
Jeffrey will be truly missed as he always brought such joy and warmth to our lives. He was a wonderful young man, who was fun to be around. He loved family and friends, as we all loved him also.
