DeWitt W. Self, 86 of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Mr. Self was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Patricia "Pat" Self. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Self Love (Chris); son, Will Self (Kellye); sisters Martha Tredaway and Joyce McGregor; grandchildren, Eleanor Self, Amelia Self (Zach), Olivia Self, Luke Love, and Eli Love. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26th, from 4:30-6:00 at the Leeds High School Auditorium. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 27th, at the First Baptist Church of Leeds at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memoriam to the DeWitt Self Scholarship Fund, c/o Leeds High School Band, 1500 Greenwave Dr., Leeds, AL 35094. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving music student who want to pursue band at the collegiate level.
