Born in Leeds, Alabama, January 19, 1929 to Oscar and Mattie Wright, she was a beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many.
She retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education where she worked most of her years in both the Leeds Elementary and Leeds Jr. High Schools. Her zest for life was contagious and her laughter memorable.
Edna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jim, one daughter, Jamie, son-in law Allen and one grandson, Alex. Two sisters, Evelyn Hartsfield and Myra Grable and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Chapel at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.
