Lisa was a beloved wife, a loving mother, a good friend and a wonderful grandmother. She shared 44 years of marriage with her husband, Alan Smith. She was the daughter of Dowell and Katherine Davis of Moody, Barbara Bolden of Trussville, Alabama. Lisa is also survived by her daughters, Alana Smith (Patrick) and Holly Sanders (Lewis); her brother, Bryan; and her nine cherished grandchildren: Jacob, Hudson, Weston, Samuel, Jordan, Brandon, Aspen, Noah, and Scottie.
Lisa loved crafting, decorating, gardening, and cheering on Alabama football. Above all, she treasured her family, especially her grandchildren. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is with our Heavenly Father.
Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Monday, September 28, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Mount Hebron Baptist Church.
One thing Lisa spoke of every day was how much she looked forward to getting back into her garden. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor her to help bring it to life. Seeds, a tree, a flowering shrub, a perennial plant, or a helping hand in the garden would be a meaningful tribute to something she loved so dearly.
