Preceded in death by his grandparents Ret Lt Col A.M. and Jerry Leonard and Ret Msgt Sgt Isaac and Robbie Bratcher. Survived by wife and best friend, Alma, daughter-Cara, twin sons-Connor and Nicholas (Evangelia), Angelo Georgopoulos (Stephanie), Parents Greg and Virginia Bratcher, grandchildren Penelope and Delilah, his brother, Andrew (Jill), niece, Hadley, nephew, Anderson, beloved Uncle Butch and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
SGT (RET) Greg Bratcher served 17 years in the Alabama Army National Guard as a 92A and 68W, assigned to Bravo Company, Group Support Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). During his service, SGT Bratcher provided Full-Time Unit Support (FTUS) for the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, the Special Operations Recruiting Detachment, and the Special Operations Training Detachment, accumulating 14 years of active-duty service.
His dedication and commitment to the Alabama Army National Guard and his invaluable contributions to the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) have left a lasting impact, making him a highly respected and admired leader among his peers. SGT Bratcher's legacy of service will continue to inspire others for years to come.
With profound sadness, we mourn the passing of SGT (RET) Greg Bratcher. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of serving along with him, and his absence will be felt deeply within our ranks. His selflessness and unwavering dedication to his comrades and the mission served as a shining example of military excellence, and his presence will be sincerely missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his memory forever be cherished by those he touched during his distinguished career. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 20th, 2023 from 11:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery.
