Horace Auston Wilson, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home in Moody, Alabama. Mr. Wilson retired from Lehigh Cement Plant in Leeds and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bartee Wilson, two daughters, Cheryl Whisenhunt (Ronnie), and Joanie Vance (David). Mr. Wilson left four grandchildren, Mary Hall (Drew), Lauren Hurless (Matt), David Vance (Katie), and Jonathan Vance (Kristen). He also had seven great grandchildren, Olivia Hurless, Jacob Hurless, Emma Hurless, Taylor Vance, Auston Vance, Jake Vance, and Chase Vance. Services for Mr. Wilson will be Friday, September 13, 2019 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leeds, Alabama. There will be a visitation from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM with the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, Alabama. Services under the direction of Kilgroe Funeral Home 1750 Ashville Road Leeds, Alabama 35094.
