Hubert “Wesley” Farley, Jr., 84 of Leeds, Alabama, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021. Mr. Farley is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert W. Farley, Sr. and Ruth Herring Brazil; his first wife, Bonnie Dickerson Farley; and step-daughter, Candace Mason. He is survived by his wife, Jean Hassett Farley; daughter, Tammy Farley Bleistine (Bob); step sons, Bill Mason (Tyra), Clay Hassett (Frances), and Brian Hassett; one sister, Susan Taylor; step grandchildren, Brooke Mason Duncan, Brett Mason (Katie), Ann Chandler Hassett, Clayton Hassett, Isabell Hassett, Liam Hassett (Mother – Jessica Hyche Hassett); great grandchildren, Cannon Duncan, Hudson Duncan, Mason Duncan, Caroline Mason, and Abby Grace Mason. Mr. Farley is a member for Leeds First United Methodist church and former member of Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church. He served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army. He graduated from Shades Valley High School where he was outstanding in basketball, football, and baseball. He attended Auburn University. Mr. Farley retired from tool specialty. Services for Mr. Farley will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Leeds First United Methodist Church with the visitation being from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Masks will be required by the church for attendance. There will be a graveside at Elmwood Cemetery beginning at 1:45 PM.
