He is survived by his sons, David Davis (Jill), Scottie Bunt (Christy), Jackie Bunt, Steven Bunt, and Brian Sheanna; daughter, Trudy Bunt; grandkids, Michael Burkett (Kim), Kimberly Burkett, Robert Diffrey, Joshua Davis (Samantha), Jacob Davis and Candice Cruise, Chris Bunt, and Jason Kirkley (Alishia); great-grandkids, Zack Bunt, Payton Kirkley, Emma-Kate Davis, Austin Raymond, Aydan Davis, Casey Davis, and Amelia James Davis; sisters, Shirley Vest (Ray), Charlotte Dover, and Beverly Kernan (Mike); brother, Cary Burkett (Ethal); and lots and lots of nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6PM to 8PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Moody First Baptist Church at 11AM. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
