

Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 31, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church in Moody followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM with Bro. Josh Burnham officiating.
Jackie was born on May 30, 1953, to Morgan Holman Godwin and Jessie Mae Johnson Godwin in Brewton, Alabama. She was a graduate of W.S. Neal High School. Soon after graduation, she married the love of her life, Bud Arnold Jackson, on November 13, 1971. They moved to Odenville in November of 1975, where they put down roots and grew their family. Jackie was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church and served her Lord faithfully until her passing. She taught preschool at Bethel Wee Care for 28 years. She was the President of the Auxiliary of the West Camp of the Gideons of St. Clair County. She was involved in many of the mission projects at Bethel including the Raceway Ministries, the Christmas Store which provided Christmas gifts for families in need and volunteered at the Food Bank.
Jackie was predeceased by her father, Morgan Holman Godwin and her brothers-in law Tony Peters, Harold McGraw, and Gehrig Hicks. Jackie is survived and missed by her husband Bud Jackson, her mother Jessie Godwin and her three sisters Ann McGraw, Faye Hicks, and Marilyn Peters; her children Melanie Ingle (Brad), Bud Jackson, Joshua Jackson (Lori), and Jason Jackson (Lindsey). She is forever cherished and remembered by her 10 grandchildren Justin Coupland (Justine), Toye Jackson, Chase Jackson, Emily Grace Ingle, Madelyne Jackson, Jacob Ingle, Jonah Jackson, Ashlynn Jackson, Katelyn Jackson, and Mayli Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.
