He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jessie Ash, son, Jimmy Ash and sisters, Juanita and Geraldine.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jane T. Ash, daughters, Alice Ash, Anita (Jerry) Tibbs, sons, Chuck (Regina) Ash, Billy Ash, Stanley (Sharon) Ash, brothers, Edward and Charles. An avid Auburn fan and farmer, he leaves behind a legacy of 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Mr. Ash was a life-long member at Branchville C. P Church and had been retired since 1979 from Anniston Army Depot. He was a proud U. S. Veteran having served during WWII.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel with burial in Branchville Cemetery.
