He is preceded in death by his parents, A.A. and Bessie Calhoun and sister, Lola Mae “Doll” Self. He was retired from the Birmingham Fire Station No. 6.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Calhoun; sons, Chris Calhoun (Kelly) and Larry Calhoun (Kristy); sisters, Betty Bass and Patricia Greene (David); grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Bradley, Michael, and Derek Calhoun (Stephanie); and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 26, 2018 from 11AM to 12PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 12PM. Burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
