James Earl Collins III

Mr. Collins worked in the Birmingham AL. steel industry for most of his working life. He worked for Meadow Steel, Vulcan Metal and retired from Glenn and Wright. After retiring from the steel industry, Mr. Collins worked for Alabama Auto Auction.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Collins; his 2 daughters: Jaime Lynn Collins Garriss, Bonnie Diane Hall (John); his son, Justin Earl Collins (Kimberly); his 2 Granddaughters: Maria Chambliss & Kaylie Collins; his grandson, Aiden Garriss; his brother William G. Collins (Helen); his 2 sisters: Georgie Brasfield (Richard) and Margaret Cunningham (James); his 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds with burial to follow in Forest Crest Cemetery.
