He served several years with the Washington County Sherriff’s Office and retired from the Shelby County Sherriff’s Office. He was a graduate East Tennessee State.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Dixon; daughters, Samantha Whisonant (Jarret) and Christy Parker; step-mom, Grethel Dixon; sisters, Paula Reynolds and Denise Hobbs; and 3 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5PM to 7PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel.
