James E. Ethridge

James Eugene Ethridge Sr. of Moody, AL age 83, born June 14, 1937, left this earthly home on February 7, 2021 to his eternal home in Heaven where he will be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior and his bride of more than 62 years of marriage to Melba Mickle Ethridge.

Survived by children Joy Davis (Donnie), Pam, Lala Randle, (David), James Ethridge Jr. (Katie), and Grandchildren and great grandchildren who Papa loves and adores. Two sisters JoAnn Smith and Martha Sweatt.

James Ethridge Sr. served as a St Clair County Commissioner for two terms. He served the needs of the senior citizens by starting the Seniors Meal Program, serving those over 60 who needed food, and also served many organizations to improve the infrastructure of St Clair County.

He also served as a deacon and youth minister for many years. His favorite past time was spending time with his Grandchildren.

Daddy (Papa) is so loved and will be deeply missed until we are reunited together in Heaven.

Services will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, AL Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Visitation 1:30pm. Funeral 2:30pm. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville, AL.
