James Herring

He was a beloved father & “Poppy”. He will be missed so very much, but we are so blessed to know that he now rest in the arms of Jesus, with his precious, darling, & “biscuit maker”, Rev. Mary G. Herring. He played guitar and led the singing at Miracle Hill Revival Center for over 30 years. James was one of the original builders of the church. He will be missed by all of his friends and family.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Mary G. Herring; his sister, Gladys Cardwell; and brothers: Emmris Herring & Bill Herring.

Survivors: daughters, Patricia Goss (Jerry), Gayle Cowan (George); sisters: Lucille Ratliff & Louise Miller (John) 8 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM. with burial to follow in McCombs Cemetery.
