He is survived by his wife, Loretta Lanier, sons, James Lanier III (Dana), Jeremy Lanier, sisters, LaDonna Payne, Brenda Lanier, Yvonne Duncan (Dale), grandchildren, Jaden Lanier, Amaya Lanier, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
