Joel Dale Davis age 73, passed away after a long illness surrounded by his family. Joel is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah Davis; daughters, Mandy Roberts and Jennifer Davis; grandchildren, Cade Jamieson and Edan Jamieson; brothers, Gary Davis (Susan) and Stewart Davis (Darlene); a host of nieces and nephews. Joel is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Davis Jr and Gladys Davis.
Joel retired from the Alabama Gas Company after more than 30 years and enjoyed a second career in sales with SouthFresh Feeds for 10 years. Joel was a avid hunter and won many state championships in archery. Joel was a devoted Christian who loved God and his family and witnessed to many people throughout his life. The family would like to give a special thanks to Meadowview Nursing Center and Affinity Hospice for his end of life care. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
