Joyce Lacey

February 1, 1948 – September 19, 2025

With loving hearts, we remember Joyce Lacey, who passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 1, 1948, Joyce was the daughter of Helen and John Chastain. Joyce was a woman of deep faith, passion, and unwavering conviction. Joyce’s life was a beautiful testament to the joy of giving, the strength of family, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.

Joyce was married to Frank Lacey on February 16, 1985, and they shared over 40 years of love and partnership. Joyce was the devoted mother of Randy Anderson (and his wife Grace), Stacey Smith (and her husband Justin), and Allison Brewer (and her husband Josh). She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Andy, Ava, Bennett, Campbell, and Natalie.

Joyce had a long and fulfilling career at Henderson and Walton Women's Center, where she served for more than 20 years with unwavering care and professionalism. After retiring, she dedicated her time to volunteering at Anne’s New Life in Leeds, offering support to women in need.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and John Chastain. She is survived by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and many friends who will miss her deeply.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at St Theresa Catholic Church on Wednesday September 24 at 11:00 AM with burial at Southern Heritage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Anne’s New Life in Leeds.
