Joyce Marie Payne

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leeds and was involved with the Cooking Ministry and teaching preschool Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellery Carlton and Lillian Brasher; husband, Donald Payne, son, Rickey Green, daughter, Tina Tuttle and grandson, Benjamin Weldon.

She fiercely loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving friend and neighbor. She was a huge animal lover and never met a stray cat that she didn’t feed or try to care for.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Pam Weldon (Glenn); son in law, Robert Tuttle; grandchildren, Heather Perryman (Jared), Nathan Tuttle, Ashley Tuttle, and Amber Allen (Mitch); great grandchildren, Montana Allen, Rafe Allen, Chloe Perryman, and Connor Perryman.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions could be made to UMDF (United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation) and SOCAT Animal Rescue (Saving One Creature At a Time)

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 1:30PM to 2:30PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 2:30PM with burial to take place in the Alabama National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 3, 2025 beginning at 11:45AM.
