Kay Elkins Martin, age 71, Chelsea AL went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ following a lengthy battle with cancer. She grew up in Leeds where she graduated from Leeds High School. After graduation she pursued her career at UAB where she was able to continue her educational goals.
She loved life defined by her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and her kind, compassionate heart.
She is survived by her son, Jason Robinson (Rachel); mother, Gail Bishop Logan; brother, Lynn Elkins (Mickie); sister, Nina Farrington (Chris) and step sister, Mary Ann Somers (Tom), 3 grandchildren, 2 nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Martin; father, Jimmy Elkins and step father, William Logan. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends who were blessed to have known her.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
