

He is survived by his wife, Paula Reeder Dixon of Decatur, AL, son Kristopher Dixon (Emilie), one granddaughter (Rylie) all of League City, TX; two brothers, Kevin Dixon (June) of Ashville, AL, and Bryan Dixon (Paula) of McCalla, AL; and two sisters, LaRae Williams (Randall) of Cook Springs, AL and Brenda Russell (Dennis) of Moody, AL; stepmother, Hazel Dixon of Southside, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Raymond Frank and Nina Pauline Hileman Dixon, and brother, Donn Philip Dixon.
He served with the Air Force 908th Reserve Unit at Maxwell Air Force Base as an engine mechanic on C-130s in Quality Assurance and was a Non-Destruction Inspector. He served at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson where he was a Non-Destructive Inspector in the boneyard until his retirement (23 years).
Friends will be received on February 24th from 11:00 am–12:00 pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, AL. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Dixon, Bryan Dixon, Josh Dixon, Matt Dixon, Mason Dixon and Kris Dixon.
