

Ruby Lee Grant was born on June 30, 1940, in Caledonia, Mississippi, to John Pickett Grant and Birdie Mae Moore Grant, the third of five daughters. She earned her bachelor’s degree in religious education from Mississippi College.
She met Billy Jack Green of Birmingham, Alabama, and they were married on February 4, 1967, in Jackson, Mississippi. Lee faithfully served alongside her husband in ministry at churches in Mississippi and Georgia. In 2024, they moved to Trussville to be closer to family.
Lee loved her family with all her heart and cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, LeAnne Conn (Victor) of Trussville and Angie Green of Marietta, Georgia; granddaughter Emmaline Lee Conn Tamucci (Adam) of New Orleans, Louisiana; sisters Elizabeth Godfrey (Joe) of Steens, Mississippi, and Diane Seagraves (Dennis) of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters-in-law Betty Little Carter and Peggy Wilson, both of Leeds; and many dear nieces and nephews.
She will be especially remembered for how she showed the love of Christ through her gracious Southern hospitality.
The family will receive friends at noon on Monday, April 20, followed by a 1:00 p.m. service at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds. A graveside service will immediately follow in Branchville.
