Lester Butch Cole Sr, 71 of Leeds, AL gained his wings on September 29, 2025. Butch was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Jefferson Park.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Joan Dawkins Cole and his parents, William and Dorothy Cole.
Butch is survived by his son, Lester Butch Cole, Jr., daughter, Karen Cole; grandchildren, Tevin Cole (Xenobia), Trevon Riggs (Haley), Breanna Riggs, and Makayla Riggs; great grandchildren, Azariyah, Aniylah, and Montana Cole; and sister, Ginger Franklin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds. Visitation will be from 5:30pm-7pm on Wednesday, October 1st, and funeral services on Thursday, October 2nd, at 11am. Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.
