Mark W. Benefield, born April 19, 1951 in Jacksonville Florida, died unexpectedly on January 31, 2015. He was the son of Mark and Eileen Benefield of Leeds, Alabama. He is survived by four sisters, Rev. Cherie Chapman, Ft.Myers Florida, Marsha Cruce (Carl Cruce), Florahome, Florida, Carol Pierce (Manning Pierce), Minor Hill ,Tennessee and Lanice Norton, (Orea Norton) Hazelgreen, Alabama. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. Mark enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and spending time with his family. He graduated from Leeds High School in 1969 and lived in the Leeds area until his death. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. By his request there is no public service planned.
