Mary L Black, age 90, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Jolley; sister, Edna; brother, Lowell Liggett; Mary is survived by her husband of 73 years, John Black; daughter, Phyllis (Johnny) Shannon; sister, Dorothy Platson; grandchildren, Michael Jolley (Deanna), John Shannon Jr, Brad Shannon, and Matthew Shannon (Stefanie); 9 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Friday April 21, 2023 from 11:00-12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.
