Mary Ann Little

Mary Ann Little, at age 64 of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. Born on January 19, 1960, in Leeds, Alabama, to the late Bill and Mary Barefield, Mary Ann married her high school sweetheart, Jeff. She went on to attend Samford University where she graduated with Bachelors and Masters degrees. Hardworking and dedicated, Mary Ann began her teaching career at Pell City High School. She went on to teach at Gardendale High School, Jefferson County International Baccalaureate, Mountain Brook Middle School, Gadsden City High School, and concluded her career in the Polk County School System in Cedartown, Georgia. Mary Ann enjoyed the beach, crafting, taking care of her pets, but enjoyed spending time with her family and friends the most. She fully invested her life into her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jeff Little, son Griff Little(Amanda), and daughter Shelby Gossett(Tommy). As well as her grandchildren, Grayson, Colby, Eli, Chloe, and Evy.

Services for Mrs. Little will be on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home 1750 Ashville Road Leeds, Alabama 35094. The visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life of Mary Ann Little beginning at 3:00 PM. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, Alabama directing the services.
