Marshall Joe Ford, 41, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on October 25, 2023, after a 3-year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. He was born on June 12, 1982, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and grew up in Columbiana, Alabama. Marshall was an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend, known for his unwavering love for God and his selfless dedication to serving others.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife, BreAnne Poe-Ford, and their son, Gage Ford. A ceremony to honor and celebrate Marshall's life will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Leeds First Baptist Church. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by the service at 4:00 pm.
He was an active member of Leeds First Baptist Church, and a former member of Church of the Highlands were he and BreAnne first met. He is also a 2013 Highlands College graduate and was a former employee of Durante Home Exteriors.
Marshall's vibrant personality and zest for life were evident to all who knew him. He possessed a warm and welcoming spirit, never hesitating to extend a helping hand or offer a comforting hug. His infectious laughter brought joy to those around him. Marshall had a deep love for superheroes, particularly Superman, and his passion for music was evident to all. He cherished every moment and embraced life to the fullest.
At the young age of 39, Marshall was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia, a challenging, incurable condition that gradually affected his ability to communicate. Despite this, his love and kindness never wavered, leaving an impact on the lives of those who knew him.
Marshall was preceded in death by his father, Larry Ford.
Marshall the oldest of 6 is survived by his sisters, Janna Ford, Tessa Ford, Roberta (Keith) Cofer, Addie Ford, his brother, Jubal Ford, and his mother, Jo Ann Ford.
Marshall Ford will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life.
