Mrs. Merle Roberts

Born: November 20, 1930 Death: January 25, 2022

Of Leeds Alabama. Passed away on January 25, 2022 at the age of 91. She was a native of Ty Ty Georgia and a longtime resident of Birmingham and Leeds, Alabama. Merle was retired from Social Security Administration as a Claim Authorization after 18 years of service. She is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she has held several different positions throughout the years. She was also a past President of the Leeds Garden Club, and Treasure of the SSA Alumni. She is preceded in death by her ex husband, Raiford L. Roberts, her parents Gillbert and Maybelle Moye, 4 sisters and a brother. Also a special daughter, Wanda Roberts Wilson. Merle is survived by a daughter, Linda Mingus, 3 sons, Ray (Natasha) Roberts, Jay (Leydi) Roberts and Nick (Sherry) Roberts. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 12:00PM with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
